Residential Mail Guard Set Up Instructions:
In Outlook Express
Click on Tools
Click on Accounts
Click on the mail tab on the top (to insure you are in the correct place)
Highlight the email address you have in the box
Click on Properties (to the right)
Click on Servers (at the top)
Fill out the following as seen below.
Incoming mail (POP3) mail.intrstar.net
Outgoing mail (SMTP) mail.intrstar.net
Account Name - Your user name (example: bob)
Password - *********** Your password should be ok, but if you like retype it
Note: case sensitive
Put a Check [ ] My server requires authentication
Click on Settings
Make sure there is a check at : Use Same settings as my incoming mail server
Click OK
Click OK again
Close the Internet account box, click on Send/Receive to check your email.
Virtual Mail Guard Set Up Instructions:
Email for users with a domain name … www.mydomainname.com
Note: You must have InterStar set up the virtual account first.

Highlight the email address you have in the box
Click on Properties (to the right)
Click on Servers (at the top)
Fill out the following as seen below.
Incoming mail (POP3) your domain name (mydomainname.com)
Outgoing mail (SMTP) your domain name (mydomainname.com)
Account Name - Your complete email address (example: bob@mydomainname.com)
Password - ***** Your email password – you will only see stars so be careful what you type.
Note: Case sensitive (small letters only)
Put a Check [ ] My server requires authentication
Click on Settings
Make sure there is a check at: Use Same settings as my incoming mail server
Click OK
Click OK again
Close the Internet account box, click on Send/Receive to check your email.
