InterStar's Fixed-Wireless High Speed Internet is a wireless method of delivering high-speed Internet access to homes and businesses. This technology uses radio signals rather than existing phone lines or cable infrastucture. Areas that lack fiber optic cable, DSL, or cable television lines can still enjoy high speed Internet access.
InterStar utilizes both low and high Frequency equipment. The type of equipment used depends on your location. A small, typically roof-mounted, antenna or radio is mounted at the customer's site. Theses radios are then connected to a router using CAT5 cable before connecting to the customer's computer. Once everything has been connected the radios send and receive wireless signals to our transmission towers, which connect back to the Internet.
